The aim of adding Tech Trees is to bring the game more in line with the core Rust experience by adding more depth to the system we had up until this point. Players are still able to research items from the Research Table as they could before, so there are now multiple paths of progression. From here, players can use scrap to unlock different branches of items depending on your playstyle! Collect scrap from around the map and construct a workbench in order to access the Tier 1 Tech Tree. No longer will players have to rely on spending their scrap on a random tiered blueprint at the workbench – players can now unlock the items they need the most. The Tech Tree fundamentally changes the way players progress in Rust Console Edition. So let’s start by talking about one of the most requested features, the Tech Tree.
